Basheeru – Deen Walters

Bash Walters is a Port Elizabeth born, bowling all-rounder. He has played in the 2015 Africa T20 Cup competition and for Eastern Province and Warriors cricket. He made his first-class and list-A debut in 2007 with his T20 debut coming in 2009. He has played 100 First-Class matches and has a best of 6/64. The PE born player is a big fan favourite around St George’s Park and Northern Suburbs of Port Elizabeth. Bash loves bringing koeksisters for his teammates, even though he has a sweet tooth, his favourite food is cauliflower. He has a love of all sports including baseball and soccer. He prides himself on bringing humour, ambition and putting the team above himself. Bash loves spending time with his tight-knit family which was the reason he got into the game of cricket. He started playing cricket in the streets of the Northern Suburbs and made it into his club cricket side as a batsman. Accidently, he bowled during one practice session during Ramadan while he was hungry, and he bowled so fast that his coach made him become a fast bowler instead of a batsman. Therefore, he became a fan of Allan Donald’s lightning fast bowling and highlights his first fiver for the Warriors as his favourite memory.
