Simon Ross Harmer

Simon Harmer is an aggressive off spinner, who hails from Pretoria where he started playing cricket with his older brother Matthew in the backyard. Simon later went to school at Pretoria Boys’ High and has established his game in the Eastern Cape by playing for Border, Eastern Province, Warriors, South Africa A and the Proteas side. He loves cooking and eating Mexican food, travelling and spending time with people closest to him. If he wasn’t a cricketer, Simon would be a practicing attorney or advocate. He made his debut for South Africa in the 2015 New Year’s Test and has a record of 20 wickets at a rate of 29.40. He has established his name in the English County Championship for with Essex and Chelmsford. Winning the County Championship with Essex, is Simon’s most memorable cricket moment. The batting all – rounder has been a key player for the Warriors in the Sunfoil Series by taking the most wickets in the 2017/2018 season. In the Warriors mix, Simon brings experience, energy and a never die attitude. This explains why he looks up to Tom Brady, Muhammad Ali and Dwyane Johnson as his role models.
